Active playtimes

The key stage 2 playground has a new feature in it.  Gym equipment was installed over the half term.  

This equipment has been installed to give the children more choice for an active playtime.  Both pieces of equipment can be used by two children at the same time, allowing it to be a social activity as well.  

The equipment is:

1. Double health walker allows a full lower body workout whilst having minimal impact on the user`s joints.  It can improve balance, coordination and flexibility and is a gentle cardiovascular workout. 

2. Double slalom skier allows users to exercise their lower body and core muscles.  It also supports the development of balance and coordination.
