St Joseph's Rotherhithe

Grand Ceilidh

As part of the 'Illuminate Rotherhithe' celebrations connected to the departure of the Mayflower from these shores in 1620, the children of Year 4 and Year 5 took part in a  Grand Ceilidh alongside the other 6 schools on the peninsula. It was terrific fun and quite the workout. The children learnt all sorts of traditional dance moves and danced with different children whilst accompanied to a live folk band in the hall at Bacon's College. It was superb entertainment not to mention seeing Mrs Garofalo showing off her secret dancing skills.
